FC Barcelona midfielder Pedri will miss his team’s El Clasico match against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg, according to a report in SPORT.
Pedri has been out of action after he sustained an injury during Barcelona’s Europa League play-off first leg match against Manchester United. The Spanish midfielder has missed all seven games Barcelona have played since, including their two wins over Real Madrid.
According to a report in SPORT, Pedri will miss Barcelona’s Copa del Rey semi-final second leg match against Real Madrid in April. Barcelona won the first leg 1-0 and will head into the second leg with an edge. However, the Catalan outfit will likely have to do without Pedri, who also missed the first leg.
Pedri was ruled out of Barcelona’s 2-1 win over Real Madrid in La Liga in their most recent fixture after not feeling 100% in last Friday’s training session. He watched from the stands as Barcelona defeated their fierce rivals to establish a 12-point lead in La Liga.

Ousmane Dembele, who has been out of action after suffering an injury towards the end of January, also remains a doubt for Barcelona’s upcoming Copa del Rey clash with Real Madrid.
Ousmane Dembele, who has been impressive for Barcelona in the ongoing 22/23 campaign, picked up a thigh injury during their 1-0 defeat of Girona in a La Liga fixture. SPORT reported that it was decided to rest Dembele until the end of the March international break.
Ousmane Dembele has not been called up by Didier Deschamps for France’s upcoming UEFA Euro Qualifiers during the March international break.
Barcelona will take on Elche in a La Liga fixture in their first match after the March international break. Although it is not clear whether he will feature against Elche, the objective is to have him fit in time for the match against Real Madrid. However, Barcelona will not rush Dembele back into action.
Meanwhile, Barcelona will be aiming to win both La Liga and Copa del Rey titles and end the season on a high note.
The Catalan outfit have already won the Spanish Super Cup. They enjoy a 12-point lead over Real Madrid in La Liga and have the edge heading into the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against their El Clasico rivals.
