A round-up of the latest transfer gossip from around Europe as Chelsea move to sign a sought-after talent and Jordan Henderson attracts interest from two European giants.
Barcelona are determined to sign Estevao Willian of Palmeiras, with the 16-year-old seen to echo Lionel Messi. But Mundo Deportivo adds that the Catalan giants face competition with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Man City and Paris Saint-Germain also showing intent.
Estevao, who is also nicknamed ‘Messinho’, has long held a strong desire to go to Barcelona, though. Yet Sport also reports that Chelsea have flown to Sao Paulo to convince Estevao of a transfer to west London. The Blues also even intend to pay his €60m (£52m) release clause.

AFC Ajax are making a major effort to loan former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson from Al-Ettifaq, per the Evening Standard. The Eredivisie giants believe the 33-year-old would be a fine signing. He is also set to tell manager Steven Gerrard of his wish to leave Saudi Arabia.
But Gianluca Di Marzio also reports that Juventus remain interested in signing Henderson if Al-Ettifaq let him leave in January. The Bianconeri have also held initial talks with him over a move to Turin. Yet Henderson is seeking an 18-month loan as he strives to return to Europe.
Hellas Verona left-back Josh Doig is ready to reject interest from Rangers to agree a transfer to Marseille. The Daily Record reports the 21-year-old is due to join the Ligue 1 side for €5m (£4.5m). Hibernian will receive around £350k of the fee thanks to a sell-on from Doig’s sale.
AC Milan are keeping close tabs on Nemanja Matic with the former Chelsea and Manchester United midfielder at odds with Stade Rennais. Reports by Gazzetta dello Sport claim Matic and Rennes’ relationship has declined since he joined last August to attract Milan’s intrigue.
According to Ouest-France, Stade Rennais have also now taken an interest in former Everton striker Moise Kean. The Ligue 1 team are considering a move for the Juventus player as they look to strengthen their attack. Kean’s profile suits what Rennes desire, so is a strong target.
West Bromwich Albion are on the verge of agreeing a deal to sign Andreas Weimann on loan from Bristol City. Additionally, the Daily Mail reports that Taylor Gardner-Hickman will go the other way with the right-back turning his loan spell for the Robins into a permanent transfer.
